MIDVŌR is a tribute to the fantasy worlds we carry into adulthood, portraying those who take dreaming seriously. It celebrates passionate fantasy travelers who lovingly create their characters, whether born from their own imagination or inspired by video games, films, or anime. Their costumes and garments, often handcrafted over the course of months, come to life at festivals, LARPs, and conventions.
Beyond fun, play, and escapism, these travelers have found their own MIFVOR - a safe space a chosen community, a sense of belonging, a role, and even a deeper identity.
What may appear from the outside as "just a game" or "dressing up" is, in truth, a worldview -perhaps even more honest than the roles we play in everyday life.
The word MIDVŌR is fantasy term derived from Old Norse: "Miðgarðr" - "middle of the world, the space in between" and "Vör" - "goddess of knowledge and wisdom". Losely translated, MIDVŌR means: "the knowledge between worlds".
